This tab can be customized using the Customize Property Box dialog. It displays the most important items of information relating to a Media record. Media records represent pictures, videos, sounds, documents, or OLE Objects. But you can treat any external file as a media item if you wish to and create a Media record to represent it.
You are recommended to provide a Title for all Media records. If possible you should also provide a Date - this is the date at which the picture (or other object) was created.
Media records are created when you click on the main Add menu and choose any of the following:
You can also add media to the project in the Property Box, on the Media tab, and on the Facts tab (in the Media Viewer). In all cases, where new media is added, a new Media record is created to represent it within the program.
When displaying Media records, the Property Box looks very similar to the form in the top half of the Display Pane of the Media Window. See that window for more details.
