How to Change the Contents of Boxes in Diagrams

Open a diagram (see How to Display a Diagram).  Open the Diagram Options Dialog. Select the Text tab.  A list of text schemes is displayed. A text scheme is a stored set of instructions which determine what text is displayed in boxes, how it is laid out, what fonts, styles and indents are used, etc.

To try out the different text schemes, select each in turn and press Apply. You should see the diagram behind the Diagram Options Dialog change when you do this. Bear in mind that the diagram cannot show data that you haven't entered. So, for example, if you choose a diagram which is supposed to show a persons occupation (or occupations), it cannot do so if you have not recorded what the person's occupation was.

You can edit and modify existing text schemes or create you own new ones. To create a new one, click on the New button (see Create a Simple Text Scheme). To modify an existing one, select it and click on the Edit Text Scheme button.
