Media
Link Tool |
Enables the Media Link Tool which appears as a second tab in the list pane (left side of the window). The Media Link Tool is designed to make it as easy as possible to link Individuals to their facts in pictures (that is, add 'frame links'), and also to add simple links with no frame. The Media Link Tool tab is divided into 2 parts. When you select an Individual in the top part, that person's close relatives are displayed in the bottom part. This is convenient because often pictures show a family group. You can click-and-drag on any person in either the top part or the bottom part, and drag them onto a picture. When you release the mouse, you will be asked if you want to add a frame link or a simple link. You can also click on buttons at the bottom of the Media Link tool, as an alternative way of adding either kind of link. The Media Link Tool can be used to link media not only to Individuals, but also to Families, Source Records, Places and Named Lists (see 'Selector' at the top of the tab). |
