Property Box: Main Tab for Submission Record

This tab can be customized using the Customize Property Box dialog.  It displays the most important items of information relating to a Submission record.

Although it is a global standard, the GEDCOM format used by Family Historian, was originally designed and specified by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Some of the fields and even records in GEDCOM are of significance only to members of the LDS Church. The Submission record is normally used when submitting a GEDCOM file to the LDS Church. In that case, the submission record is used to send instructions and information to the receiving system. These instructions are specific to the LDS Church.

GEDCOM stipulates that each GEDCOM transmission file should have only one submission record.

The fields on this tab are:

Submitter Reference to a submitter record.
Family File GEDCOM defines this field as: "Name under which family names for ordinances are stored in the temple's family file ".
Temple Code GEDCOM defines this field as: "An abbreviation of the temple in which LDS temple ordinances were performed". Contact the LDS Church for a list of temple codes.
Process for Clearing GEDCOM defines this field as: "A flag that indicates whether submission should be processed for clearing temple ordinances".
Ancestor Gens The number of generations of ancestors included in this transmission.
Descendant Gens The number of generations of descendants included in this transmission.
