This tab can be customized using the Customize Property Box dialog.
Family Records are created automatically for you, when they are needed. If necessary, they are deleted automatically too. They are used to store relationship information for spouses and families, and also to record other data that applies to families - e.g. family events such as marriage and divorce. Most of the time you do not need to know anything about them.
