This menu is only available when the Report Window is active.
| Rebuild Report |
If you have changed the underlying data that a report is based on, the report will update immediately to reflect the change. But you must rebuild the report, in this case, before printing it, to be sure that the layout is still correct. |
|---|---|
| Records... | Most reports are based around a record. The Individual Summary report, for example, shows details about a particular Individual. When you run the report you must select the record to base the report on. If you wish, you can, in most cases, base reports on multiple records. The Records button shows which records the current report is based on, and allows you to change them, or re-order them. |
| Go To Page | Use this command to go to a particular page in the current
report. |
| Copy Page ► | Use this command to copy a page of a report in Bitmap or Enhanced Metafile format. If copying as a bitmap, you can choose to copy it either at the current zoom level or at the default (100%) zoom level. |
| Zoom ► | This submenu provides various zoom options. |
| Zoom In | Zoom in. |
| Zoom Out | Zoom out |
| Whole Page | Zoom so that a whole page is visible (or 2 pages if the Two Pages check box has been ticked in the panel on the right hand side of the window). |

| Save Report As ► | Save the current report in the following formats... |
| PDF File | PDF Files preserve a report as it appears in Family Historian, and can be read by anyone with a free 'reader' program, such as Adobe Reader. |
| Web Page (HTML) | HTML format is the format of the World Wide Web. |
| Word-processor Document (RTF) | Rich Text Format is supported by most serious word-processors (e.g. Microsoft Word). If you save a report or book in this format, you can view and edit it in a word-processor. |
| Text File | Text format. In this format, all formatting information and pictures is lost. Only the basic contents is retained as text. Rarely useful. |
| Custom Report Type | This is not a file format as such. When you save a report as a
custom report type, you are creating a new type of report, which
you can re-use later. Custom report types can be accessed from the
Custom Reports submenu of the Publish
menu. |
| Report Options |
The options available for reports are extensive and vary between
different report types. This command opens the Report Options
Dialog to let you view and/or alter these options. |
