Place Formats

Genealogists sometimes have their own systems for separating elements of a place name with commas. Those who take this approach may wish to use extra commas to mark unknown elements of a place name - e.g. ‘Rothbury,, Northumberland’ might be used if you do not yet know the parish of Rothbury. Family Historian supports this approach by automatically removing these extra commas when you display place names, in all formats except Full.
