If you have not yet added the picture into your project, follow the instructions for doing this in How to Add a Picture for an Individual.
Pictures can be added either in the Media Window, or in the Media tab of the Property Box. It doesn't matter which you use. The instructions for linking a person to their face differ slightly depending on which approach you use.
To link a person to their face in a picture, from within the Media tab of the Property Box, you need to use the Edit Media Item dialog box. If you insert a single picture in the Media tab of the Property Box, this dialog box will automatically be opened for you when the picture is inserted. If you insert multiple pictures, it won't - you will need to select each picture in turn and click on the button on the Media toolbar to edit it.
To link a person to their face, click on the button and then move the cursor over the picture. You should notice when you do this, that the cursor now looks like a cross. You click-and-drag on the picture to draw a stretchy box round the face. When you release the button, he or she should have a rectangle round their face with 8 little white boxes on the sides and corners. You can click-and-drag inside the rectangle to move it, or click-and-drag on any of the white boxes to re-size the box. Once you are satisfied, you can press to save changes.
If later you wish to reposition the 'frame' round the person's face, click on the button. The 8 little white boxes will appear round the rectangle and once again, you can click-and-drag inside the rectangle to move it, or click-and-drag on any of the little white boxes to resize the box.
If you want to delete the frame, click on the button then press the
key.
