All new users are strongly recommend to view the Quick Start Guide. The boxed version of Family Historian includes a printed copy of the guide. It can also be viewed on-screen, by clicking on Quick Start Guide on the Help menu. You can choose between viewing the guide as a PDF file (you must have a PDF reader to do this) or viewing it in the Quick Start Guide web page. The Quick Start Guide is a short, visual guide that takes you quickly through the basics of using the program, using a series of annotated screen shots which can easily be understood by everyone.
Also recommended, once you have viewed the Quick Start Guide, is Tips for New Users.
The Help is what you are reading now.
Dialog boxes will often have Help buttons. Don't forget to press them. If there is no Help button, pressing the F1 key will often take you to help which is relevant to whatever you are doing.
