Takes a record as parameter and returns a single character which indicates the type of the record.

Return Type:

A single character string. The possible return values, and their corresponding record types, are:

H	Header record
F	Family record
I	Individual record
O	Media record
N	Notes record
R	Repository record
S	Source record
U	Submitter record
B	Submission record
P	Place record

Parameter 1:

A reference to a record.
