Family Historian Tour
All Relatives and Everyone Diagrams
An All Relatives Diagram

|
This All Relatives diagram shows all relatives of the girl in the white box - her ancestors, her descendants, and all descendants of ancestors (cousins), however many times removed, and all spouses of all of these people. Green boxes are direct ancestors of the diagram root. Yellow boxes are descendants and cousins. And brown boxes are relatives by marriage. All family historian diagrams (except the Everyone diagram which does not have a diagram root as such) can be based on either one individual (as in this case) or on a couple. The grey bands in the diagram represent generations. Everyone in each band belongs to the same generation. The text down the right side shows how the people in that row are related to the root. For example, the bottom row (with only one box in it) is "2nd cousins 2x removed". As with all diagrams, you have extensive configuration options which give you all the control you need over the appearance and layout of the diagram. |
An Everyone Diagram

|
This Everyone diagram shows, as its name implies, every person in the family tree file, and all their relationships to one another. The two curved ribbons (yellow and blue) link boxes which occur more than once in the diagram. In the top right-hand corner there are 3 boxes that are linked together but not linked to any other boxes in the diagram. These represent a family with 2 children who are not related to anyone else in the family tree file. There are 4 distinct 'trees' in this diagram (including the one in the top-right corner with only 3 boxes). Within each tree, yellow boxes represent direct relatives, and brown boxes represent relatives by marriage. Trees can be manually moved around as required. So too can boxes and branches within trees. |
