Awards for Family Historian

Did you know that Which? Computing – one of the Which? magazines – did a comparison study of nine genealogy products and Family Historian came out top, and got their Best Buy award? They did the same thing last year, and Family Historian came out top then too. Family Historian also won the Family History Software of the Year award from Your Family Tree magazine in November. See Reviews and Awards to learn more.

Version 4 Tips

Click on ‘About Family Historian’ on the Help menu. If you have version 4.0.0 or 4.0.1, download a free upgrade to 4.0.2 from downloads.

If Family Historian 4 runs a little slowly when you first start it (which probably means that you have a lot of pictures) and if you’d like to speed things up, click on Preferences on the Tools menu and then click the Advanced button on the first tab, and untick ‘Auto-load Thumbnail Images When Opening Project’. You need to be on version 4.0.2.
